Eligibility  for the ANU International Research Scholarship

To be eligible for the ANU International Research Scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Citizenship: Applicants must be international students, i.e., they must not be Australian or New Zealand citizens, Australian permanent residents, or holders of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa.

2. Academic Qualification: Applicants must have completed a Bachelor Degree or an equivalent qualification with academic results that are at least equivalent to an Australian First Class Honours degree.

3. English Language Proficiency: Applicants must meet the English language requirements for admission to ANU. ANU accepts a range of English language tests, including IELTS, TOEFL iBT, and PTE Academic. The minimum scores required are:

– IELTS: Overall band score of 7.0 with no band less than 6.5
– TOEFL iBT: Total score of 92 with a minimum score of 21 in each section
– PTE Academic: Overall score of 65 with a minimum score of 65 in each communicative skill

4. Application Deadline: Applicants must have applied for admission to a research program at ANU by the application deadline for the scholarship round they are applying for. The application deadline is usually in early December each year.
