The University of Sheffield is pleased to announce the GEMS Undergraduate Merit Scholarship for the academic year 2024. This scholarship is open to high-achieving students from GEMS Education schools in the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe. The scholarship covers a partial tuition fee waiver of £3,000 per year for three years, subject to satisfactory academic progress. The scholarship is available for students pursuing undergraduate degree programs at the University of Sheffield.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a current student or recent graduate (within the last two years) of a GEMS Education school in the Middle East, North Africa, or Europe.
- Hold an offer to study an undergraduate degree program at the University of Sheffield for September 2024 entry.
- Achieve grades equivalent to UK AAA in their high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrate excellent academic performance and leadership potential.
- Submit a personal statement outlining their academic achievements, leadership skills, and future career aspirations.
- Meet the University of Sheffield’s English language requirements (either by achieving the required grade in English Language IGCSE/GCSE or by providing an English language test score).

The deadline to apply is Monday 22 April 2024 at 1.00pm (UK time).
Scholarship winners will be announced on Wednesday 15 May 2024.

How to Apply

Once you have been accepted, you can then apply for the scholarship through the university’s online system.
