Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the awards, applicants must:

1. Be legally registered organizations or initiatives based in Africa, Asia, Latin America, or the Caribbean.
2. Have a clear cultural focus and demonstrate how culture is being used to promote sustainable development.
3. Have a budget of less than €100,000 for the project they are applying for.
4. Have a clear plan for sustainability beyond the funding period of the award.
5. Be able to provide a detailed budget and financial management plan for the proposed project.
6. Have a clear strategy for monitoring and evaluating the project’s impact.
7. Be able to provide two references from other cultural organizations or institutions that can attest to their work and reputation.
8. Be able to provide a letter of support from a local government or cultural institution that confirms their legal status and work in the community.
9. Be able to provide a detailed description of how they will use the funds provided by the award to advance their project’s goals.
10. Be able to demonstrate how they will contribute to the Prince Claus Fund’s mission of promoting cultural exchange and development through their project’s activities and outcomes.

Note that previous winners of Prince Claus Seed Awards are not eligible to apply again, but they may be considered for other Prince Claus Fund programs if they meet the eligibility criteria for those programs.

Application procedure
