Scholarship Eligibility

To be eligible for the Research Training Program (RTP) scholarship at Monash University, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Applicants: Must be an international student or domestic, Australian permanent residence
  2. Enrollment: Applicants must be enrolling full-time in a research program at Monash University.
  3. English Language Proficiency: Applicants must meet the English language proficiency requirements of Monash University. This can be demonstrated through an IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 overall with no band less than 6.0, or an equivalent English language proficiency test.
  4. Scholarship Exclusivity: Applicants cannot hold an equivalent scholarship. This means that they cannot hold another scholarship that provides similar benefits, such as a Commonwealth Scholarship or an Australian Postgraduate Award.
