The University of Sheffield is pleased to announce the Sheffield Engineering Excellence Scholarship for the academic year 2024. This scholarship is aimed at high-achieving students who have applied to study an undergraduate engineering course at the University of Sheffield. The Engineering Excellence Scholarship will cover the full tuition fee for the first year of study, worth £9,250 for UK students and £21,750 for international students. The scholarship is open to both UK and international students, and there are a limited number of awards available.
The University of Sheffield Engineering Excellence Scholarship is a scholarship that’s designed to help talented engineers study at the University of Sheffield. To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be an outstanding engineering student who has achieved excellent results in your undergraduate studies. You must also be applying for a postgraduate course in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sheffield.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Engineering Excellence Scholarship at the University of Sheffield, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be an undergraduate student
- Be classed as an overseas student for tuition fee purposes
- Make The University of Sheffield your first (firm) choice in the UCAS application process for 2024 entry
- Be taking all prerequisite subjects for your selected degree
- Be able to demonstrate financial need, as assessed by the University’s financial assessment process
- Applied to study an undergraduate engineering course at the University of Sheffield for entry in September 2024
Conditions Of Scholarship Amount
This scholarship will be offered in the form of a cash bursary at the start of your course should you be eligible.
The scholarship amount is dependent on your academic achievement:
A*A A: £1,000
A*A*A: £2,000
A*A*A*: £3,000
Once in receipt of this scholarship, you will be awarded £1,000 each subsequent academic year.
How to Apply
Applicants will be assessed based on their academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and personal statement. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview or assessment day, where they will have the opportunity to showcase their skills and potential.
The deadline for applications is 31 May 2024. Applicants are encouraged to apply as early as possible to increase their chances of being awarded the scholarship.
